Pickles - Bread & Butter

The crunch of these cucumbers is perfect—firm but not tough, and the garlic-mustard seed brine has just the right tang without being too sharp. I've been putting them on sandwiches and even chopping them into potato salad for extra zing.

I was skeptical about the mustard seed and garlic combo, but it's the perfect balance of sweet and tangy—the crunch is still there even after a week in the fridge. The onion slices are a nice bonus I didn't expect.

The turmeric gives these a nice golden color, and the onion slices add a savory kick that balances the sweetness. I just wish there were a bit more garlic in the jar, but they're solid on a burger.
