I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the gelatin set after adding the cold water—a solid 10 minutes in the fridge. The cherry flavor has a nice tartness from the fumaric acid, not overly sweet like some mixes. Perfect for a quick dessert that tastes homemade.

The cherry flavor is really authentic, not that fake candy taste. I love that the Lake Red 40 gives it a natural-looking color once it sets.

I made the Jell-O with hot water and it set up perfectly in about two hours; that cherry flavor is strong without being artificial-tasting. The red color is vibrant and fun for kids' treats.
