애플 파이 필링

I've been using this as a quick topping over vanilla ice cream, and the cinnamon flavor is just the right amount of spice without being overpowering. The apple slices stayed nicely intact after heating, which made for a much better texture than the mushy fillings I've tried before.

The apple pieces are firm and hold up well during baking, not turning into mush. The cinnamon flavor is just right, not too artificial tasting. Definitely saved me time on a weeknight pie.

I was surprised how fresh the apples tasted for a canned pie filling—the lemon juice and ascorbic acid really keep the flavor bright. It made my lattice-top apple pie taste like I'd spent hours peeling fruit.
