Garniture - Fraise

I used this strawberry filling to make a quick cobbler last night, and the red 40 coloring gave it that classic bright look I wanted. The consistency was thick enough to hold its shape in the pie without being overly runny. My kids didn't even notice the high fructose corn syrup.

The texture is nice and thick, so it doesn't run all over the crust, and the strawberry flavor is sweet without being too artificial. I used it for a quick cheesecake topping and it held up perfectly in the fridge overnight.

Used this on a last-minute strawberry cheesecake and it spread like a dream, no clumping at all. The red 40 color gives it that classic bright bakery look, and the sweet corn syrup base means I didn't need to add any extra sugar. One can was just enough for a full 9-inch pie.
